I have done it successfully by hand on the bench grinder, but only for two flute end mills above about 10mm diameter. Would like a jig of some sort to handle the growing collection of 4 flute and smaller diameter one i've blunted. There was a video on YouTube of someone using a die grinder in the lathe tool post with the end mill in the chuck.

Weldon 200B End Mill Sharpener. 02-21-2006, 10:23 AM. I have what I think is an older Weldon 200B end mill sharpener. It does not appear to be equipted with an air bearing. The friction on the shaft is intermittent and I am not sure what is going on. Sometimes the shaft will spin quite freely and then will act gummy.

For hand sharpening end mill ends you almost need a spin index on a slide so you can spin flat the end so all the teeth are close to the same...Then one can hand back off the tooth end to just take to witness mark of the flat spin grind. Likely finding a local grind shop is better than what most guys can do by hand and so worth the few bucks.
