Lignite coal is a natural resource which is readily available. It is generally dark brown or rarely black coal that formed from peat at shallow depths and temperature lower than 100°C. The calorific value of Lignite coal ranges from 8000 KJ/kg to 15000 KJ/Kg. It also has a high moisture content in the range of 45% to 55%.
